An infected person shows –
Sudden onset of fever
Intense head ache
Muscle and joint pains
Pain behind eyeballs on moving eyes
Diffuse rashes on skin.
Many patients suffer from a sudden drop in the number of platelets that help with blood clotting (called Thrombocytopenia). Reduction in platelet cells causes hemorrhages or bleeding through gums and other delicate parts of the body. Bleeding can occur internally from stomach, liver and intestines. Patients with bleeding may go into Dengue Shock Syndrome.
